The college has well equipped library facilities for the students containing around 15000+ books, magazines and journals in the central library. The different teaching departments have their departmental libraries as well for reading and researching on a matter that interest them. The Central Library has a spacious reading area encouraged to inculcate a habit of reading and preparing for both student and members of the staff.
HOSTEL
The College has a hostel of its own within the campus for its students especially catering to young women who wish to pursue education from rural areas and face challenges in commuting regularly. The hostel environment is friendly and residents conduct regular programmes to encourage bonding amongst themselves. Total capacity of the hostel at present is Fifty (50). LABORATORY
The college has established 2 computer laboratories with a total of 120 computers with a vision of providing ICT exposure to all students. Every workplace on the campus, including faculty rooms, offices, student residence rooms, computer labs, library and administrative office, has network connectivity. The computing resources include advanced servers and powerful workstations. A state-of-the-art campus network with fiber optic backbone and a 10 Mbps Leased line Internet connection offer unlimited access of Internet for the students and staff round the clock, for their educational and research needs.
TRANSPORT
A fleet of 45 college buses are being operated for the convenience of students coming from different places in and arround Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri & Salem District. Subsidised fare is charged as a welfare measure for the students.
ANTI-RAGGING
The College treats complaints of ragging with utmost seriousness and students taking admission are informed that the college has a strict policy against ragging of students, both juniors and seniors. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the accused student will have to explain and if her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority may/can expel her from the institution. ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The second alumni meet of Laxminarayana Women's College was organised on the 5th of November at noon. The alumni gathering was a great success due to the enthusiastic participation of some of the first students of the college batch of 2010 as well as the alumni of 2018.
The programme was organised on a Sunday keeping in mind the professional engagements of the alumni. The alumni committee comprising some of the teachers of the college had organised the schedule of the day's event starting from a cultural programme by the current students, tour of the college, interactive session with students to be followed by lunch.
The alumni were warmly welcomed by the present students and felicitated with a bouquet of flowers.
The present students of our college had organised a short programme which included a recital and song and dance programme. The alumni shared their memories of college days, their interaction with teachers and some of the pranks they played as students. It was a fun filled exchange of old memories and sharing of present experiences. The present students benefitted much from the advise given by their seniors.
INTERNET FACILITIES:
The college has a Network Resource Centre where students can avail internet facility for academic purpose under the guidance of teachers. This helps students to remain updated about latest developments, avail online awareness of students to make them at par with Students from Rural and Urban area.
HEALTH CENTER:
The College provides the service of regular health check ups for the students by specialist doctors. If necessary, students are advised for further treatment and medical tests are done as required.
VISITING LECTURE:
The Honours Departments of the college arranges visiting lectures by eminent faculty members of university and other colleges on subjects of contemporary relevance at regular interval. This benefits the academic community to engage and debate with varied perspectives on several issues.
GENERAL AWARNESS SEMINAR:
The college has provision for regular seminars and interactive sessions on topics of General Awareness to enhance the knowledge of students and make them participate actively in issue that concern them both directly and indirectly.
STUDENTS’ SEMINAR:
The Honours Departments organize seminars by students on topics from their syllabus. Students are encouraged to select topics and present them before their batch-mates. This increases their self confidence and help in aiding all-round development.
