The Department of Commerce and was established along with the Faculty in 2010 respectively, and it began its pioneering leading academic courses in Commerce as a core field of study. At present, the student graduates with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce,M.Com and M.Phil., Ph.D.To provide exposure to the student to the varying evolving areas of commerce with a major emphasis on Case Analysis and Individual Projects as central pedagogical tools.

At present, 02 Associate Professor and 8Assistant Professors are working in the department. The Department has 350 UG students and 45 PG Students. Our faculty members are well qualified as per the are also engaged in research and extension along with teaching.Our faculty members are continuously engaged in counseling and guiding the students for their B. Com, M. Com., and M.Phil., Ph.D.

They are invited as Resource persons in the Orientation Programmes of the other academic institution. For students benefits, we regularly plan Debates, Elocution Competition, Seminars, Guest Lectures, and Factory Visits. We regularly arrange Students Seminars, Case Studies, and Audio-Video Presentations to improve their communication skills. We regularly plan large number industrial visits of various big companies and small scale units as well as service firms and institutions.

• Dummy text is text that is used in the publishing industry or by web designers to occupy the space which will later be filled with 'real' content. This is required when, for example, the final text is not yet available. Dummy text is also known as 'fill text'. It is said that song composers of the past used dummy texts as lyrics when writing melodies in order to have a 'ready-made' text to sing with the melody. Dummy texts have been in use by typesetters since the 16th century.

We have produced 100% result in the sum papers for all the UG classes in the 2016-2017, and we obtained more than 94% of result in major papres for both UG and PG classes.

we proud to announance here that our PG student Miss.P.Mahalakshi had been placed 3rd and Anandhalakshmi had been placed 5th Rank place in university Rank list in the academic year 2014-2015 and UG student Miss.K.saranya had been placed 6th place in university Rank list in the academic year 2014-2015 brought to our department and to the college.
