NSS / PHYSICAL EDUCATION

The prime objective of the NSS is service to the community, while undergoing education in an Laxminarayana educational institution. It is aimed to arouse the social consciousness of students and provide them with the opportunity to work with people around them creatively and to put the education they receive to concrete social use. NSS units have been started in the Laxminarayana Arts & Science College for Women 2014. Regular NSS programmes and special camping programmes are organized with specific project in hand and with involvement of local community.

Red Ribbon Clubs have been opened in the Laxminarayana Arts & Science College for Women. The institution is creating ‘AIDS’ awareness among the students and also public to develop helping tendency and also donate blood to save human lives when needed. Financial assistance received from the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society is given to the above clubs at the Blood donation camps and AIDS awareness campaigns are also organised.

YRC Units have been formed in Laxminarayana Arts & Science College for Women. Blood Donation, First Aid Training is the major activities being serviced out through these units. Students study camps, seminars and youth festivals are being organised through YRC.

Laxminarayana Arts & Science College for Women

The college has its own play ground within the campus. There are arrangements for indoor games as well as outdoor games. The college is also equipped with sport equipment specially suitable for women. The Annual Sports of the college is generally held in the month of December and Participation is encouraged to develop Sportsman Spirit and camaraderie among students.
